“Mystified” – A poem

Mystified

You mystify me sometimes.

I never imagined feeling this much for anyone.

There’s something about you that makes me breathless.

There’s something about your touch that both excites and calms me.

There’s something about your hazel eyes that make me want to drown…

drown in your voice,

drown in the soft brush of your lips on my neck,

drown in your kisses,

drown in the way you love me so completely,

with your body – the pleasure mounts until it’s overwhelming,

but I still can’t get enough – the connection between us is so unique,

the way you love with your heart – the way you listen,

the way you accept who and what I am without question.

Most of all, it’s who you are,

your clever views on life,

there’s never a dull moment.

I love every part of you,

even those pieces you keep locked away from anyone but me.

Even when you mystify me, that’s all the more reason to love you.

I love all of you,

and you, my love,

you’ll always have my heart.
