It promotes a healthy heart, prevents cancer, is suitable for skin, and is a mood booster. Due to all these benefits of wine without getting you high, the wine tourism industry is booming. Here are the top seven winery destinations that every wine enthusiast should visit during this new year.

1. Napa Valley, CA

Duckhorn Vineyards, located outside St. Helena, California, specializes in Merlot wines. Though it is a small wine region, it produces almost four percent of Wine in California. Wine Spectator named Duckhorn Vineyards as the top Wine in 2017. The periphery of the vineyards’ estate has astounding views and is walking distance from the neighboring wineries.

It faces the dramatic gardens that overlook the vineyard. You need to make reservations to get wine tasting and a tour of the winery. You will also gain insights into the history behind these wineries. You will get a tasting experience of highly wanted and limited-edition wines. Do try out the Migration Wines that taste delicious.

2. Bengaluru, Karnataka

A much closer location to Bangalore is the Nandi Valley. For a weekend getaway and partying with friends, this is an excellent location set up for wine tourism. A trip to Nandi Valley is perfect for beginners. They have assorted varieties of wine and are primarily known for the flagship Kinvah brand, named after the wine from the Mauryan Era. The wine tours begin at 11:30 AM and last for three hours. You can choose whichever wine you want to taste, and lunch is part of the tour package. Remember to book in advance before visiting the place. You can access Nandi Hills on both four-wheelers and two-wheelers. If you are going by a two-wheeler, then you can choose one with a strong engine like a Honda CRF, which is ideal for tough routes.

3. Mendoza, Argentina

Mendoza, Argentina, is the fastest-growing wine-producing area in the world. The Vineyards in Mendoza, located at the highest altitudes in the world, are a popular destination among wine lovers for wine tastings. They receive very little rainfall, and the water flow from the melted glacier sprinkles on them. Mendoza region has three wine-producing regions: Uco Valley, Maipu Valley, and Lujan de Cuyo. You require a minimum of two days for a complete visit to all three areas. For a wine tasting and tour here, you must book in advance and need reservations.

4. Tuscany, Italy

One of the most famous wine destinations in Europe is Tuscany. This central Italian region has the world’s most distinguished cellars and vineyards. Chianti is undoubtedly a well-known local wine from the Chianti region in Tuscany. Chianti is a beautiful region surrounded by hills and plentiful vines. San Luis Obispo County is full of mesmerizing wines and views. Laetitia Winery tops the list with its delicious wines by Eric Hickey like Pinot Noir and Burgundian-style Chardonnay. Enjoy a glass wine while taking a stroll along with the ocean views.

7. Tasmania, Australia

Tasmania is an isolated island located in the southern part of Australia. Its weather is perfect for relishing the sparkling wines. Take a ride to Stefano Lubiana Wines for their fantastic wines and Italian food alongside a fireplace. This Vineyard is surrounded by the scenic foothills of the River Derwent.
