7 Romantic Camping Ideas for Couples to Try

Are you bored with the routine life? Is monotony affecting your relationship too? If yes, then it is time for you to grab your partner for an emotional reconnection beneath the stars for a weekend getaway. The perfect place to reinvigorate is a campsite.

Camping by a fireplace, with a cup of hot cocoa and marshmallows by under the stars with your significant other – sounding romantic? The fast-paced lifestyle often does more harm than good to us and the brunt is borne by our loved ones. A meaningful relationship comes to an early closure when you are too busy to notice that your partner is yearning for your attention.

Camping is a fun way for both of you to renew the early sparks of the relationship and make sure that bae is receiving all your attention and time. The next time you want to pack your stuff up and load it over your roof rack, consider these romantic ideas for you to explore with your significant other –

1.  Disconnect Outside to Connect Within

Camping trips are supposed to be about fun and enjoying each other’s company. You wouldn’t want to be disturbed while enjoying nature, right? Therefore, camping in the woods where there is little or no signal reception can be a fun idea for you to explore. You may not be able to find connection outside but a more meaningful connection awaits you. However, a precondition to planning such an excursion is to locate nearby amenities in case of any emergency or if you are stranded.

2.  Go Skinny Dipping

If you are camping to a remote location which is near a beach, lake or river, you could consider going skinny dipping. It is a lot of fun and there are some excellent memories to be made. Privacy and safety are the foremost concerns that must be kept in mind. If the necessary precautions are taken, there is no reason why you cannot turn up the heat with your partner by the waterfront, while skinny dipping. There is just something about being naked outdoors in a cool waterfront that just gets the sparks to fly.

3.  King Size Sleeping with Your Queen

The next time you go camping consider extra-large sizes for everything. From tents to sleeping bags, pick out stuff that can accommodate both of you. The idea is to be closer to each other every moment. There is nothing like camping with your bae and cuddling together under a great big starry night sky.

That is as romantic as it gets.

4.  Game-On for the Love Birds!

The ultimate agenda is to have fun. Besides, how long can you really look at the starry night, right? Games add a whole lot of spunk and fun to your camping itinerary. You should consider bringing cards or games that both of you enjoy. Games which are more exciting and entertaining such as passing the parcel or spinning the bottle are some amazing ideas to consider. However, a more private setting allows you to spruce things up with some really kinky games. The idea is to be as ingenious as possible to come up with interesting games.

5.  Enjoying Fireside Meals

Camping tradition requires two ingredients – campfire and meals. Most camping trips turn out to be disasters when someone forgets food.  Consider bringing loads of ready-to-cook, frozen or ready to roast meals. This makes for sumptuous fireside wining and dining. Everybody knows that the way to the heart is through the stomach and you do not want to keep her stomach empty.

Often, camping sites are secluded and isolated therefore, you need not become the hunter-gatherer. Instead, stocking up supplies and essentials based on the duration of the trip is the smarter thing to do. This is because you wouldn’t want anything to dampen the mood and spirits on a romantic getaway.

6.  A Long-Awaited Hiking/Biking Trip

Before you set up your campsite, consider a spot close to a hiking or biking trail. Part of being in the lap of nature is exploring it. Nothing rejuvenates your senses like a hike or a biking trail. You could always take it up a notch with some interesting twists and turns. For example, you could do a heads or tails biking trail. The rules are fairly simple. You each pick a coin side and flip. Then you each pick a trail. Decisions on the trail must be flipped for. Still thinking whether to go cliff jumping from the hiking point? Find a coin!

7.  Set-Up Your Own Theater

Yes, camping is for you to detox digitally and disconnect to reconnect. However, there is something about a projected feature film on a white fabric hung from the capers. The entire idea of watching a movie in a make-shift theater under the starry nights just yells romantic in every way. The important thing to remember, though, is to have a pre-downloaded version of the movie that both of you like.

All you must do is carry a white sheet and the projector. Let the magic unravel as you cuddle together to Netflix and chill!

Parting Words

Camping activities are extremely fun, especially in the company of your loved one. However, a necessary precaution is to remember all essential amenities and carry cautionary kits such as fire extinguisher spray and first-aid. Apart from this, ensure all essential amenities that are close to you are known beforehand. Enjoyment is important, but safety is paramount.

Such wonderful tips for a romantic camping getaway! 😉

Thank you, Rebecca, for this useful article…just a great notion all around, especially for this time of year! ♥♥♥

  1. Awesome blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform
like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..
    Any ideas? Thanks!

    1. Hi, Stephen! Thanks for visiting us here at ILRB. Yes, I would suggest starting with the free platform. You can always add a business package and domain later on, depending on how you expand your blog, as well as how many views you receive. Best of luck! 😉
